Sweet, bright notes of fresh tangerine are the first impression of Sandra Trochez’s honey-processed lot, finishing with rich undertones of cherry and dark chocolate. Juicy, complex and layered–this show stopping coffee from Honduras is truly worth savoring.

Farmlevel Story

Sandra Trochez entered the world of coffee production after marrying a 3rd generation coffee farmer. In 2006, her husband—Amado Fernandez—received a plot of land from his father and by 2010, with only 5 hectares, they already secured their legacy by winning the Cup of Excellence in Honduras. 

The family continued to grow exceptional coffee under Don Amado’s name, until his untimely passing in 2019. Don Amado’s legacy lives on through Sandra, who now fully manages the farm in Las Flores, Santa Barbara. With support from her son, Maicol Fernandez, and her brothers-in-law, the family works together to ensure the top tier quality of their coffee. 

Verve is fortunate to purchase all of Sandra Trochez’s coffee, so you won’t find this lot anywhere else! We are proud to represent Sandra Trochez and this excellent example of a women-led, honey-processed coffee from Honduras.
